JOB ROLES ARE BEING ANNOUNCED
1) A new start up business, based in Sheffield, is looking to develop a low cost, high accuracy and high throughput breast cancer screening medical device that would make breast cancer screening widely adopted worldwide. The company is looking to develop the management team with the appointment of an experienced Chairperson, ideally with a medical technology/devices or diagnostic background. The role requires availability to commit to a ‘hands on’ approach to assist this early stage company in developing an exciting business and raise venture capital funding. A negotiable incentive package is available for the right person.
2) A company which has developed a product, which delivers heat or cold directly to a joint/part of the anatomy as part of a treatment for swelling and joint stiffness will be pitching for managerial assistance for sweat equity.
3) A new social enterprise addressing long term unemployment and social deprivation is looking for a Business Partner to offer guidance and help with growing the business from grant dependency to financial independence. There is potential to take on the role of Chair of the Board, or of the Advisory Group. The ideal candidate will have a financial background, expertise in business development and contacts in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. This role is paying sweat equity and based remotely.
4) An exciting social enterprise providing support and training to disadvantaged young people is looking for non-executive directors to offer guidance and help with fundraising and training sales expansion. This role will be on a commission basis and is based in Sheffield.
5) A market driven company which identifies new, major niches in healthcare leading to new product development and on to marketing product. To assist the company in achieving its goals it is looking to add to the team a Financial Director/Manager to help develop the financial systems in the company including accounts, inventory control and MIS. Experience in healthcare both in the UK and overseas would be beneficial. A team player who can work under their own initiative when required is essential. The role will be based on sweat equity initially, whilst finance is put in place, with the potential for options. Currently the company is located in Nottinghamshire.
